The Team Behind Epiphany

Epiphany is built by clinicians, researchers, and operators who believe psychological science deserves the same craftsmanship as the technology that delivers it.

• Founder Spotlight

Kamilah M. Woodson, Ph.D.

Dr. Kamilah M. Woodson is a licensed clinical psychologist, tenured Full Professor at Howard University, Fulbright-Hays Fellow, certified sex therapist, and the Founder and CEO of Epiphany Psychological Solutions. With more than thirty years of clinical practice and nearly two decades in academia, Dr. Woodson has built one of the most distinctive careers in American psychology: part clinician, part scholar, part entrepreneur, and entirely committed to the emotional well-being of communities that have been historically underserved by mainstream mental health systems. Her research focuses on colorism, trauma, identity development, and the interior lives of women of color. She has trained scores of doctoral-level psychologists, led NSF-sponsored faculty development programs, served as an expert witness and neuropsychological evaluator, and spoken at some of the most influential stages in her field, including the American Psychological Association, The National Science Foundation, AAAS, The National Institutes of Health, the Association of Black Psycholoigsts etc. As Epiphany’s Chief Psychologist, Dr. Woodson oversees all clinical frameworks, ethical standards, product development priorities, and the Kamilah 2.0™ corpus, ensuring that every tool the company produces is anchored in the same clinical integrity she has practiced for three decades. She founded Epiphany to answer the question that defined her career: what happens to people between therapy sessions, before crisis, and when formal care is not immediately accessible? Dr. Woodson is also the author of the forthcoming memoir Smoke and Mirrors, a psychological and spiritual testimony to the journey from performed strength to authentic selfhood. She is a proud Soror of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a third-generation Detroiter, and the mother of Noah Maasai.
