• Who It’s For

Designed to Support Individuals and Institutions at Every Stage

College Students

College is full of firsts: the first time living away from home, the first time managing a full course load without a parent checking in, the first time a friendship or relationship falls apart with no built-in support system nearby. Epiphany was designed for exactly these moments, the ones that happen at 11pm in a dorm room, not during office hours. Students get a companion that understands the specific pressures of college life and offers real psychological tools, not generic wellness tips, whenever they need them.

Adults navigating life transitions

Career changes, breakups, becoming a parent, losing a parent, moving to a new city alone: adult life is a continuous string of transitions that rarely come with a manual. Epiphany offers grounded, evidence-based support for the in-between moments of adult life, when something has shifted and you are still finding your footing. It is not a replacement for therapy. It is the steady, available companion that helps you process what is happening in real time, in language that respects your intelligence and your lived experience.

Institutions seeking scalable mental health support

Counseling centers are stretched thin, with wait times that often outlast the crisis a student is in. Epiphany gives institutions a way to extend real psychological support to every student, not just the ones who make it onto a counselor’s calendar. Built on culturally responsive, clinically grounded frameworks rather than generic wellness content, Epiphany integrates into your existing student support infrastructure and gives your team real engagement and outcomes data, not just a download count.

• Ethics & Scope

Designed to complement professional care.

Epiphany is not emergency care or psychotherapy. It is a preventive, supportive tool designed to complement—not replace—professional mental health services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some commonly asked questions. Feel free to reach out with any questions of your own
Is the Epiphany app a replacement for therapy?
No. Epiphany is a psychoeducational and wellness support tool, not a clinical service. It is designed to complement therapy by offering evidence-based support in the moments when formal care is not immediately accessible. If you are in crisis or need clinical treatment, we encourage you to contact a licensed mental health professional, and the app includes warm-handoff pathways to connect you to professional support when needed.
Most AI mental health tools are trained on general public internet data, which means they often reflect the biases and cultural blind spots of that data. Kamilah 2.0 is built exclusively on the published clinical frameworks and therapeutic insights of Dr. Kamilah M. Woodson, developed over thirty years of practice. That means the support it offers is culturally grounded and clinically informed from the ground up, not retrofitted after the fact.
Pricing depends on whether you are an individual user or accessing Epiphany through an institutional partnership. Many of our institutional partners, including HBCUs and universities, provide the app to students at no direct cost as part of a campus wellness initiative. Visit our Partnerships page or contact us directly for current individual pricing.

Yes. Epiphany is built to HIPAA-aligned data standards, with no sale of personal data and no sharing of individual user information without explicit consent. Kamilah 2.0 is a closed-corpus AI system, meaning it does not learn from your personal conversations or expose your information to outside AI training pipelines.

Epiphany includes a built-in safety protocol. If the app detects language indicating you may be in crisis, it will respond with immediate, supportive guidance, surface crisis resources including the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and, where available through an institutional partnership, connect you directly to your campus counseling center. Epiphany is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
